Job summary

Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer to maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems within AWS data centers.

You will support day-to-day operations, coordinate with vendors, and respond to incidents to ensure facility reliability. The role requires a minimum of 1+ year in a data center or critical environment, a 24x7 on-call roster capability, and a relevant Bachelor degree (Electrical/HVAC/Mechanical).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant work experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire systems in data centers.
• Familiar with Service Management systems (Problem and Change).
• Ability to participate in a 24x7 rotating shift roster/on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Act as site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Meet daily hours of operations, on-call requirements and respond during rotations.
• Manage planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure with risk assessment and approvals.
• Oversee on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors in accordance with practices and local legislation.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data, and report on data center facility operations and maintenance.
• Create and track change management requests and incident tickets for DCEO activities.
