Job summary

Amazon.com in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Chief Engineer (DCEO) for an on-site, full-time role. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems within data centers, ensuring operations meet contract parameters and safety standards.

You will coordinate across IT, Networking, Logistics and Safety teams. The role requires leadership of site projects, risk mitigation, vendor management, and 12-hour shifts with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire systems in data centers or critical facilities.
• Familiar with facilities management, troubleshooting, change management and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates per contract parameters.
• Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors and vendors and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Lead change management, incident management and reporting for data center infrastructure operations.
• Drive documentation, capacity planning and project initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.
