Job summary

CBRE in Malaysia seeks a Data Centre Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain M&E equipment across facilities, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime through proactive testing and scheduled maintenance.

The role requires strong M&E knowledge, a valid electrician license, and BO Chargeman certification (33kV preferred). Expect collaboration with vendors and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Background M&E & FM knowledge.
• BO Chargeman certification considered a strong asset (33kV).
• HS Diploma or GED with 7+ years licensed electrician experience; apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with local electrical codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organization and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspections and supervise staff and contractors.
• Deal with incidents, breakdowns and repairs.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support and first response.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and routine property inspections.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance and monitor service quality.
• Supervise contractors to meet scope and SOP terms.
• Attend technical calls and ensure smooth daily M&E operations.
