Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Solutions Consultant specializing in IT infrastructure and data centre solutions to drive growth in Malaysia. You will work with sales teams, clients, and technology partners to design tailored solutions and move opportunities from initial engagement to deal closure.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consultative selling, demonstrating the ability to translate technology into business value for senior decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in technology sales, solution consulting, presales, or solution-based selling within IT services.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data centre solutions, and managed services.
• Experience selling complex technology solutions to enterprise customers and senior decision-makers.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and develop customer-specific solutions.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with sales, technical, delivery, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities

• Solution Consulting: Design and position tailored IT infrastructure and data centre solutions aligned with customers’ technical requirements and business objectives.
• Client Engagement: Lead client discussions, technical workshops, presentations, and solution demonstrations while building relationships with senior stakeholders, including CIOs and CFOs.
• Sales Enablement: Partner with Client Managers and sales teams to qualify opportunities, develop account strategies, prepare proposals, and drive deals through the sales cycle.
• Opportunity Development: Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, pursue qualified leads, and contribute to territory growth and revenue targets.
• Technical Advisory: Address complex technical challenges, assess solution gaps and risks, and recommend appropriate technologies and services.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with technology partners to understand their portfolios, develop competitive solutions, and strengthen the organisation’s service offerings.
• Commercial Strategy: Develop account and opportunity plans, support sales forecasting, and contribute to competitive positioning and successful negotiations.
• Cross-functional Delivery: Coordinate with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure proposals, solution scope, and customer expectations are aligned.
