Job summary

Amazon Data Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Construction Manager to lead day-to-day construction oversight for data center projects in Malaysia.

You will manage scope, timelines and budgets, coordinate with design and engineering teams, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across complex electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in data center project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management in data centers or critical infra.
• Experience taking design concepts through deployment and mass production.
• Experience with large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) projects.

Responsibilities

• Project management and oversight of construction activities for new builds or capital projects in Malaysia.
• Drive costs down and shorten schedules while maintaining quality.
• Provide construction management for initiatives to increase data center resiliency.
• Review constructability of electrical/mechanical systems and building designs.
• Create project scope, equipment requirements, and assist with RFIs and capex requests.
• Oversee commissioning and integrated system testing; ensure quality across projects.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Travel to data center sites for audits, reviews, startup testing, and commissioning.
