Job summary

GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGY SDN.BHD. is seeking a Data Center Asset Management Specialist to oversee asset lifecycle, maintain records, and ensure secure, compliant data center asset management.

The role requires at least 3 years in data center asset management or warehouse management, a relevant associate degree, and familiarity with data center equipment. It is a full-time on-site position in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Full-time Associate Degree or above in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years in data center asset management or related warehouse management.
• Familiarity with data center equipment (switches, servers) and accessories.
• Warehouse management experience including dust/moisture prevention.
• Proficiency in using asset management software and inventory tracking.
• Clear, logical expression and polite listening skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to support colleagues.
• Strong self-management to handle daily work and small projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform 5×8 on-site duty at the IDC data center and respond to emergencies after hours.
• Adhere to asset management regulations, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Execute asset and work order procedures per SOPs and logs.
• Use asset management tools to respond to work orders per SLA and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements in asset and work order management.
• Ensure asset security through storage, transport, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Conduct full inventory audits of data center assets including location and status.
• Utilize asset management software for data retrieval and analysis.
• Maintain awareness of IDC asset environment and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with team members showing teamwork and problem-solving.
