Job summary

SmartHire by SEEK Malaysia is representing a client seeking a Customer Service Executive (Metal / Manufacturing Industry) to join their team in Nibong Tebal, Penang. The role focuses on coordinating orders, supporting customers and collaborating closely with production, quality, sales and logistics teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of customer service experience in steel, metal or manufacturing environments, strong English skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of customer service experience in steel, metal or manufacturing environments.
• Good English communication skills are important for liaising with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) supports accurate order processing, records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Customer support: handle inquiries, complaints and follow-ups via email, phone and other channels.
• Order processing: process sales orders, prepare quotations and coordinate with production and logistics for on-time delivery.
• Order updates: monitor progress and inform customers about production and shipment schedules.
• Records and reporting: maintain orders and related documents, prepare reports when required.
• Issue resolution: work with Production, Quality and Sales to resolve delays or quality concerns.
• Customer relationships: build and maintain positive relationships to support long-term growth.
