Job summary

Soonest Express (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to manage daily operations at our Johor Branch. This role focuses on coordinating customer service, warehousing, transportation, and documentation to ensure smooth cargo movement.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries, accurate records, and compliance with SOPs. A proactive team player with 2–3 years in logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in logistics, warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding or customer service.
• Experience with warehouse operations and transportation coordination preferred.
• Good PC skills including MS Office applications.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily customer service and logistics operations for smooth cargo movement.
• Process orders, booking requests, delivery instructions, and documentation promptly.
• Prepare and maintain DOs, shipping documents, inventory records and invoices.
• Coordinate with customers, warehouse, transport, drivers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor shipment status, follow up on orders, and provide timely updates to customers.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to ensure inventory accuracy and smooth operations.
• Arrange transportation schedules and coordinate deliveries and pickups as required.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues, delays, discrepancies and inquiries promptly.

We are a well-established freight forwarding and logistics company with a strong and growing global presence. As we continue to expand our operations in Johor, we are looking for dedicated and capable professionals to join our dynamic team at our Johor Branch.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Lunch: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.)

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily customer service and logistics operations to ensure smooth inbound and outbound cargo movement.
• Process customer orders, booking requests, delivery instructions, and operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain Delivery Orders (DO), shipping documents, inventory records, invoices, and other operational documents.
• Coordinate closely with customers, Warehouse, Transport, Drivers, Hauliers, Suppliers, freight forwarders and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and efficient cargo movement.
• Monitor shipment and delivery status, follow up on outstanding orders, and provide customers with timely updates.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisors to ensure inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and smooth warehouse operations.
• Arrange transportation schedules and coordinate deliveries, collections, and trucking activities based on operational requirements.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues, shipment delays, stock discrepancies, and customer enquiries promptly.
• Ensure all operational transactions and records are updated accurately in the system.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation, stock takes, and operational reporting when required.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with the Sales team to support customer requirements and ensure service commitments are met.
• Handle sea freight and air freight operational activities, including documentation and shipment coordination, whenever required to support business and operational needs.
• Able and willing to travel as and when required to support business and operational needs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, or customer service.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation coordination, and logistics processes will be an added advantage.
• Good PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
