Job summary

Kanry Search is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to manage quality matters for assigned customers in a precision manufacturing environment. You will act as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, handling complaints and driving corrective actions.

You will develop inspection plans, manage SCARs and 8D investigations, and collaborate with production and engineering to sustain continuous improvement. Strong English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling customer complaints, SCARs, product returns and 8D investigations.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, inspection planning, CAPA and quality documentation.
• Medical-device or precision-component manufacturing experience is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination and customer-management skills.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin; Mandarin preferred for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customers and maintain customer quality performance.
• Develop inspection and control plans for medical components based on customer specifications.
• Manage customer complaints, SCARs and returned or rejected products.
• Coordinate immediate containment and lead root-cause investigations using the 8D methodology.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Provide timely feedback to relevant process owners regarding defects found by customers or during internal inspections.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update quality documents, including PMP, PFMEA and work instructions.
• Review changes involving processes, materials, tooling or suppliers against customer requirements before product shipment.
• Manage customer change notifications and ensure all required approvals are obtained.
