Job summary

Gultech (Malaysia)Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Customer Quality Engineer to be the primary technical liaison between customers and internal factory teams. The role focuses on managing customer quality requirements, driving improvements, and supporting new product and process qualification activities.

You will communicate customer needs to engineering and operations, lead root-cause analyses using 8D, FMEA, and SPC, and prepare weekly quality performance reports to close gaps effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related field)
• Experience with quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC) and root cause analysis
• Experience handling customer audits and quality performance reporting (PPM, LAR)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Communicate customer technical and quality requirements to internal teams to drive continual improvement.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional factory departments to establish, validate, and certify new products, processes, and equipment.
• Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and resolve technical and quality issues effectively.
• Lead problem-solving activities using quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC and other root cause analysis methodologies.
• Prepare and present weekly customer quality performance reports and implement improvement action plans.
• Monitor industry trends and new technologies to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead customer audit activities and ensure timely closure of identified gaps.
• Support Sales team on technical inquiries and customer visits.
• Track and manage sample qualification processes and communicate with customers.
