Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is hiring a Shop Assistant (Full Time) for KK SUPER MART Bandar Baru Nilai 1 (BN1) in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. You will be on-site, delivering friendly customer service, handling transactions, stocking shelves, and supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience, ideally in a supermarket or similar retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues
• A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn new systems and procedures
• Ability to work as part of a team whilst also taking initiative when needed
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry stock, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic numeracy skills and accuracy when handling transactions and stock
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the business
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service and contributing to store success

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, attentive customer service to all shoppers, addressing enquiries and assisting with product selection
• Processing transactions accurately at the point of sale using the till system and handling cash, card and digital payments
• Stocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are well-organised, clearly priced and visually appealing
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including aisles, shelves, stockroom and customer facilities
• Receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking stock against invoices and placing items on shelves or in storage
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting low inventory to management to ensure popular items remain available
• Assisting with promotional activities, setting up displays and communicating special offers to customers
• Following health and safety procedures and store policies to maintain a safe shopping environment
• Supporting team members and contributing to a positive, collaborative work atmosphere
