Job summary

Standard Chartered Plc is seeking a Strategy lead in Kuala Lumpur to oversee custody operations, drive efficiency, and manage an offshore outsourcing team. The role requires coordinating with Compliance and stakeholders across the bank to ensure scalable services and robust regulatory alignment.

The successful candidate will lead onboarding of new clients, support custody projects, and maintain high service standards with BAM clients, while seeking growth opportunities with FSS RMs and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Define, document, implement, and maintain custody operational frameworks.
• Drive quality improvement and automation across custody functions.
• Lead offshore outsourcing team and empower growth in responsibilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless, scalable operations.
• Oversee onboarding of new clients, products, and services.
• Lead hubbing of operations for FSS markets and manage regulatory requirements.
• Review processes to identify weaknesses and implement remedial actions.
• Maintain best-in-class service levels for local BAM clients and align with FI growth opportunities.
• Identify innovative client solutions and opportunities for growth with RMs and Sales.
• Monitor competitor offerings and remediate gaps.
• Develop management information to enhance client relationships.
