Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur is seeking a passionate Culinary Intern to join our Kitchen Department. This internship provides hands-on experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety while learning from our experienced culinary team.

You will gain exposure to hotel kitchen operations, quality standards, and essential culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in cooking and hospitality industry.
• Willingness to learn hands-on kitchen operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Open to shifts, weekends and public holidays if required.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation and ingredient handling.
• Support daily kitchen operations for restaurant and events.
• Learn cooking techniques, plating, and food presentation under guidance.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with stock handling, labeling, and maintaining cleanliness.
