Job summary

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Non-Management Kitchen Associate to prepare meals, monitor oven temperatures, thaw frozen items and maintain food quality. You will support the Chef in daily operations and ensure safety, portion control, and presentation standards are met.

Responsibilities include assisting in hiring and training, maintaining logs, and coordinating with F&B staff for specials. On-site role at 2 Jalan Stesen Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures as required.
• Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling and coaching of staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate food logs and monitor inventory for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and shortages to service staff and chefs.
• Ensure hygienic handling and preparation of cold foods.
