Job summary

Sonicboom Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Credit Controller to manage credit risk, accounts receivable, debt collection and payment recovery. This office-based role supports healthy cash flow by maintaining effective credit control processes and resolving account issues in collaboration with sales, customer service and accounting teams.

Key responsibilities include evaluating credit applications, monitoring aged ledgers, negotiating repayment plans and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in credit control, accounts receivable or debt collection.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and credit control processes.
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing customer credit applications, analyse financial statements and set appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
• Monitor the accounts receivable ledger, generate ageing reports and follow up with clients regarding overdue invoices.
• Investigate and resolve billing or delivery disputes by liaising with sales, customer service and accounting teams.
• Negotiate repayment plans for troubled accounts and follow formal escalation or legal recovery procedures for severe defaults.
• Reconcile sales ledger accounts at month-end and track metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding.
• Report cash flow risks and collection performance to senior management.
• Ensure credit control operations comply with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple accounts, meet collection targets and perform other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.
