Job summary

Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad is seeking an experienced Operations professional to monitor dealers’ and remisiers’ trading positions, client exposure, trading limits and margin requirements in a regulated environment.

The role involves reviewing reports and audit trails, managing credit-related requests, and preparing regulatory and management reports for Bursa, BNM, SC and auditors, while guiding trading teams on procedures and limits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in stockbroking/securities operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Studies, Investment or related disciplines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Monitor dealers’ and remisiers’ trading positions, client exposure, trading limits, margin requirements, and breaches.
• Review daily reports, audit trails, trading limits, staff activities, and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Manage trading account opening, limit increases, account reactivation, withdrawals and other credit related request.
• Review remisiers’ commissions, trading exposure, contra losses, and payment status, and highlight exceptional cases to Management.
• Prepare reports for Management, Risk Management, Bursa, BNM, SC and auditors.
• Prepare credit memos involving trading limits, losses, errors, institutional clients, and other exceptional cases for Management approval.
• Support system enhancements, user testing, and operational improvements.
• Provide guidance to dealers and remisiers on trading limits, credit requirements, and system procedures.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from Management, auditors, Bursa, BNM and SC and other relevant authorities.
