Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst in Penang, Malaysia to maintain customer accounts, manage credit control, and support month-end closing. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely invoicing, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will analyze credit risk, perform reconciliations, and assist in forecasting collection performance. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 1–2 years’ experience is preferred, and SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Accounts Receivable processes.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to learn fast.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day credit control and collection activities.
• Ensure all collection activities are recorded and updated promptly.
• Submit invoices through customer portals accurately and on time.
• Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and customers on account evaluation and collection matters.
• Address and resolve billing discrepancies or payment variances quickly via cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform account reconciliations with customers and resolve collection issues.
• Analyze and report on credit memos and write-off activities.
• Prepare collection forecasts and monitor performance against targets.
• Conduct customer credit reviews to assess risk and set credit limits.
• Monitor credit risk exposure and highlight concerns to management.
• Prepare journal entries for monthly closing.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Handle other tasks as assigned.
