Job summary

APL Logistics in Malaysia seeks a senior Country Logistics Leader to oversee the LOB and related operations across the country. You will guide planning, staffing, performance, and budget management to drive efficiency and safe operations.

You will develop country logistics capabilities, expand 2PL and supplier networks, and partner with Commercial teams to grow customer relationships and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5-7 years of logistics or supply chain management experience.
• Proven people management experience and leadership capability.
• Experience managing large customer accounts and complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of carriers, forwarders, warehousing, transportation and international supply chain operations.
• Experience developing logistics capabilities, supplier ecosystems or strategic service-provider partnerships.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer requirements, operational feasibility and financial performance.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and operating in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the assigned Line of Business (LOB) and related operations within the country.
• Provide full management responsibility for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling operations, including budgets and performance management.
• Drive operational excellence, governance, people leadership and safe operations.
• Develop country logistics capabilities and expand the supplier network to support growth.
• Lead customer implementations, business reviews and partnerships with Commercial teams to strengthen relationships.
