Job summary

Mitsubishi Elevator Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible Costing & Procurement Officer to support service and project operations, focusing on costing, sourcing, purchasing and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery at competitive prices.

You’ll work with suppliers and internal teams, prepare POs, monitor orders, maintain costing data in ERP/CRM systems such as Infor LN, SAP or Salesforce, and compile regular procurement reports.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in supply chain, business administration, or engineering.
• Experience in procurement, costing or related roles preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems like Infor LN, SAP or Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Costing & Procurement Officer to support our service and project operations.

In this role, you will be involved in costing, sourcing, purchasing and supplier coordination, ensuring materials and services are obtained at competitive prices and delivered on time to support our elevator installation and maintenance operations.

You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, coordinating with people and managing procurement activities.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Source and obtain quotations for equipment, parts, materials and services.

Compare quotations and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and commercial terms.

Support costing, cost comparison and budget estimation for materials and services.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to approved suppliers and subcontractors.

Coordinate purchasing requirements with Installation, Maintenance Sales, Sales and other internal teams.

Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Liaise with Logistics, project teams and branches on material and equipment delivery.

Maintain accurate purchasing and costing information in Infor LN, Salesforce and other internal systems.

Analyse material requirements and identify suitable suppliers based on cost, quality and delivery requirements.

Source and recommend new suppliers when required.

Prepare monthly, annual and ad hoc purchasing/costing reports.

Maintain proper procurement records and supporting documentation.

Support internal and external audits by preparing the required procurement documents.

Who We’re Looking For

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.

Preferably 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, costing or a related role.

Fresh graduates with an interest in procurement and costing are encouraged to apply.

Experience in the elevator, escalator, engineering, construction, manufacturing or building services industry will be an added advantage.

Comfortable using computers and able to learn new systems and applications quickly.

Experience with ERP/CRM systems such as Infor LN, SAP or Salesforce will be an added advantage.

Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Good communication, negotiation and supplier coordination skills.

Organised and able to manage multiple purchasing requests and follow up on outstanding matters.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and business associates.
