Job summary

Jabil in Malaysia is seeking a Cost Accountant to maintain and analyze the company’s cost accounting system, working with management under general supervision. Prepare consolidated statements, review GL balances, perform costing analyses and margin reporting, and collaborate with Materials to ensure accurate product costing.

The role includes forecasting and training colleagues while ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong cost accounting and financial analysis capabilities.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings to management.
• Proficient with ERP systems and general accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements including balance sheets and P&L.
• Review and analyze general ledger account balances.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and balance sheets.
• Analyze costing issues and PPV analysis to improve margins.
• Prepare forecasts, workcell statements, and margin analyses.
• Train other employees within and outside the department.
• Maintain and analyze the cost accounting system for accuracy.
