Job summary

Jabil Malaysia seeks a cost accountant to maintain and analyze the cost accounting system and work independently under management supervision. Key duties include preparing consolidated financial statements, reviewing general ledger balances, forecasting, margin analysis, and inventory valuations; preparing reports for functional areas.

You will collaborate with Materials to ensure accurate product costing and conduct audits while supporting month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Strong cost accounting and financial reporting skills required.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings to management.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements including balance sheets, profit, loss and subsidiary statements.
• Review and analyze general ledger account balances.
• Verify accuracy and recommend corrections.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation and balance sheets.
• Analyze costing issues and margin analysis.
• Prepare forecasts, workcell statements, and cost variance reports.
• Collaborate with Materials to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuations.
• Train other employees within the department.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and security procedures.
