A.W. Faber-Castell (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cost Executive (Manufacturing) to join our finance team in Subang Jaya.

The role focuses on product costing, inventory valuation, cost analysis and month-end closing to help the business understand cost movements and identify improvement opportunities. Based in Subang Jaya, you will collaborate with Engineering and Project teams to ensure proper asset capitalization and investment tracking, while contributing to cost-saving initiatives in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related.
• ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• 2–5 years costing/manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for raw materials, packaging, WIP and finished goods.
• Review and validate BOMs and production routings.
• Monitor costs against budget and standards.
• Analyze variances related to materials, labor, overheads and efficiency.
• Assist on cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing.
• Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving, obsolete and scrap inventory.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and asset records.
• Manage asset capitalization, transfers, disposals and depreciation.
• Monitor CAPEX spending and track project costs against budgets.
• Conduct periodic fixed asset verification and support audits.
• Partner with Engineering and Project teams for asset capitalization and investment tracking.

A.W. Faber-Castell (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cost Executive (Manufacturing) to join our finance team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, and represents a key position within our supply chain and cost management function. As Costing Executive (Manufacturing), you will play a key role in product costing, inventory valuation, cost analysis and month-end closing activities, helping the business understand cost movements, identify improvement opportunities and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods.
• Review and validate BOMs and production routings.
• Monitor manufacturing costs against budget and standards.
• Analyze key variances relating to materials, labor, overheads, and production efficiency.
• Assist on cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing.
• Monitor inventory aging, slow-moving, obsolete, and scrap inventories.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure asset records are accurate.
• Manage asset capitalization, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
• Monitor CAPEX spending and track project costs against approved budgets.
• Conduct periodic fixed asset verification and support audit requirements.
• Partner with Engineering and Project teams to ensure proper asset capitalization and investment tracking.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Preferably 2-5 years of experience in costing, manufacturing finance, inventory management, fixed assets or related areas within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Eagerness to learn, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
