Job summary

Saiyakaya (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Costing Assistant to support daily accounting operations and costing activities at our Rawang facility. You will manage invoicing, data entry, and costing records while collaborating with purchasing, production, and sales teams.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in accounting, costing, or manufacturing is a plus. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or related field is required or encouraged for fresh graduates.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Data entry and maintenance of accurate accounting records.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly closing and preparation of accounting reports.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
• Provide support to the Accounts team as required.
• Prepare and maintain product/job costing records.
• Calculate and update material, labour, production, and other costs.
• Assist in preparing quotations and cost estimates.
• Compare actual costs against estimates and highlight variances.
• Maintain costing databases and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with purchasing, production, and sales to obtain costing information.
• Review and update costs based on changes in prices.
