Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an entry-level Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and bookkeeping activities. You will handle AP/AR transactions, prepare invoices and receipts, and maintain accurate records under supervision.

Fresh graduates are welcome; Mandarin speaking is preferred for supplier communication. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Mandarin speaking is required or preferred for communication with suppliers and business partners.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; relevant experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software is an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and careful when handling financial information.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with bank reconciliation and monthly accounting closing.
• Verify supplier invoices, delivery orders, and supporting documents.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding payment and accounting matters.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist the Account/Finance team with administrative and accounting-related tasks.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
