Job summary

Elsa Talent is seeking a Cost Controller to monitor and control project costs, prepare reports, and support budgeting and forecasting in a dynamic environment.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with cost management systems, with emphasis on accuracy, timely reporting, and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering or related field.
• Experience in cost control, project controls or financial reporting.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with cost management, procurement or enterprise systems such as SAP/ECC6, SMART GEP, PMP SAP.

Job Description:

• Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and financial targets.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and analysis to support project management decision-making.
• Track project expenditures, commitments, and actual costs within relevant systems.
• Perform cost analysis and identify any budget variances, risks, or potential cost issues.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare cost-related reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
• Review purchase requests, invoices, and cost transactions to ensure accuracy and proper allocation.
• Support project teams in cost optimisation initiatives and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate cost records and ensure compliance with company procedures and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders on cost-related matters.

Qualification/Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in cost control, project controls, financial reporting, or a related field.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using cost management, procurement, or enterprise systems such as:
  • SAP / SAP ECC6
  • SMART GEP
  • PMP SAP system
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
