Job summary

Evonik Malaysia is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst to manage cost transactions and month-end close procedures. The role collaborates with Local Financial Services and regional teams to ensure accurate closures in a shared services environment.

Degree or professional qualification in accounting or finance.
2–3 years of relevant working experience.
Strong communications skills in English (verbal and written).
A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Perform Cost Accounting transactions and ensure daily delivery quality of data.
Execute month-end close, quarterly and year-end close activities per SOPs.
Collaborate with Local Financial Services and global teams for timely closure across regions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Local Services and SSC teams.
Ensure closing timelines meet Group Corporate requirements and follow SOPs.
Support internal control documentation and external audits as needed.
Assist in project rollout and harmonization of end-to-end processes.
Provide guidance with support from senior staff on issues faced by junior analysts.
