Job summary

Evonik in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Analyst, Cost Accounting to manage daily cost accounting transactions and support month-end close. You will collaborate with Local Financial Services to ensure timely and accurate closures across Asia Pacific and EMEA regions, applying IFRS and general accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Holds a Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and General Accounting principles.
• Experience working in SAP or other major ERP systems.
• Strong communications skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cost Accounting transactions accurately on a daily basis.
• Execute month-end close steps, and quarter/year-end close activities.
• Collaborate with Local Financial Services and other teams for timely closure of accounts.
• Maintain Internal Control System documentation and SOPs.
• Support internal and external audits and process improvements.
