is seeking a finance professional to independently manage full-set accounts for the Malaysia subsidiary, ensuring consistency with inventory, and completing monthly, quarterly and year-end closes on schedule. You will prepare financial statements under Malaysia's MFRS, handle local tax compliance, and act as finance liaison for Singapore operations, coordinating with outsourced firms and aligning with SFRS for Singapore.
Independently handle full set accounts of Malaysia subsidiary, ensure consistency between accounts and physical inventory, and complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing on schedule.
Prepare financial statements and various management reports in strict accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Take full charge of local tax compliance work in Malaysia.
Conduct product cost accounting, collect and allocate material cost, labor cost and manufacturing overhead.
Monitor the carry-over of production orders, actual material consumption and analyze BOM cost variance to provide data support for management cost control.
Act as the finance contact person of Singapore subsidiary and coordinate daily services of outsourced accounting firms.
Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements issued by accounting agencies to ensure they are prepared in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) with accurate and compliant data.
Provide source documents, bank statements, contracts and business data to accounting agencies to ensure timely and complete bookkeeping.
Supervise the work progress and quality of accounting agencies and conduct regular service evaluation and feedback.
Complete local Singapore tax declarations via accounting agencies.
Liaise with IRAS and coordinate agencies to handle tax enquiries, audits and disputes.
Ensure all tax returns are submitted within statutory deadlines, track the latest tax policy changes and assess their impact on the company.
Serve as the finance liaison for Malaysia and Singapore, conduct daily communication with China HQ finance team, consolidate financial data of two regions and provide timely and accurate documents for group consolidated statements.
Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors, tax agents and company secretaries in Malaysia and Singapore.
Manage all local financial service vendors including accounting firms, tax consultants and auditors to build an efficient cross-border financial management system.
Full-time bachelor’s degree or above, major in Accounting, Financial Management or related disciplines.
At least 2 years of relevant finance working experience.
Candidates with cost accounting experience in Malaysia manufacturing industry or finance coordination experience in Chinese-funded subsidiaries in Singapore/Malaysia are preferred.
Have in-depth understanding of MFRS and local tax regulations of Malaysia.
Familiar with SFRS and Singapore tax system (GST, corporate income tax, CPF, etc.) with relevant coordination experience.
Master the operation procedures and compliance requirements of major Malaysian taxes including SST and corporate income tax.
Plus point: Familiar with Chinese Accounting Standards (CAS), capable of reconciling accounting standards among China, Malaysia and Singapore.
Fluent in Chinese reading and writing for smooth communication with China headquarters.
Excellent command of English in listening, speaking, reading and writing; able to independently process English financial documents, contracts and tax materials, and conduct formal business meetings and government liaison in English.
Candidates with basic Bahasa Melayu communication skills are preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel functions) and mainstream finance & ERP systems.
Strong cross-regional coordination and vendor management skills, rigorous and careful at work, highly responsible, resilient and good at cross-department collaboration.
