Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a kitchen staff to support food preparation, plating, and packaging in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Applicants should have a minimum SPM or equivalent; basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and ability to stand long hours are essential. A positive attitude and teamwork skills are valued, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; prior kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to follow instructions and standard recipes accurately.
• Positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and willingness to learn and support different kitchen sections.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation Support – assist in ingredient preparation, mise-en-place, cooking, plating and packaging per recipes.
• Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance – keep kitchen equipment, utensils and workstations clean and sanitary.
• Equipment Handling & Safety – operate tools safely and report hazards or malfunctions.
• Operational Assistance – help with kitchen setup, closing, inventory and service flow.
• Team Collaboration – work with chefs and colleagues maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

• Equipment Handling & Safety – Safely operate kitchen tools and machinery, report hazards or malfunctions, and maintain cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Operational Assistance – Support kitchen setup, closing duties, inventory organization, and smooth service flow across all sections.
• Team Collaboration & Professionalism – Work closely with chefs and colleagues, maintaining a positive, professional, and cooperative attitude in all kitchen operations.
