Job summary

bp in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Controllership Analyst to deliver close, accounting and reporting activities within a defined scope as part of a team supporting the ST&S organization. The role prepares financial outputs, investigates movements and ensures controls are applied consistently.

You will work with the Controllership Lead and specialist teams to implement approved improvements, address issues promptly and support resolution of accounting and data challenges across portfolios.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of financial accounting, close and reporting processes.
• Experience with commodity activity accounting and intercompany processes.
• Ability to apply accounting policies and identify specialist needs.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual close activities and prepare accurate financial outputs.
• Support controllership activities including due diligence, intercompany matters and statutory reporting.
• Identify control gaps, remediation actions and material risks or issues.
• Document requirements, perform analysis and test process changes for new business activity.
