Job summary

ShopBack Group is Asia-Pacific’s leading shopping, rewards, and payments platform. We are seeking a Finance professional to process accounts payable/receivable, ensure proper invoicing and reconciliation, and support month-end closings.

The role focuses on efficiency and accuracy within a fast-paced startup environment. Candidates should have a finance degree, relevant certifications as a plus, and knowledge of Oracle Netsuite and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Experience in financial roles is preferred, especially in shared services or centralized finance.

Responsibilities

Financial Transaction Processing

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions across various departments in a timely manner.
• Oversee invoice approvals, payments, and reconciliations for multiple business units.
• Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses and revenue for each department or business unit.

Accounting and Compliance

• Maintain accurate financial records for all shared service activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities for shared service-related financial operations.

Process Improvement and Efficiency

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes across departments to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Work with internal teams to implement best practices and automation solutions for financial transactions and reporting.
• Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure consistency and clarity of financial processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a point of contact for finance-related inquiries from other departments or business units.
• Work closely with department heads and business unit leaders to ensure financial processes are aligned with overall business goals.
• Provide financial insights and advice to business leaders to support decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.
• 0-2 years of experience in a financial role, preferably in a shared services or centralised finance environment.
• Experience in the tech or financial services industry will be a plus point.
• Experience in Oracle Netsuite is welcomed
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.
