Job summary

NCT PMC SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract administration, cost control, and tender analysis in Bandar Bukit Puchong. You will coordinate with consultants, verify measurements, and prepare final accounts with accuracy and timely payments.

The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with developers or consultants. Knowledge of CostX and solid negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience preferably with developer or consultant background.
• Experience with consultancy firms is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in measurement software such as CostX.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-contracts and post-contracts administration to support cost control on projects.
• Liaise with consultants to prepare Bills of Quantities in line with tender drawings and specs.
• Ensure accurate measurement for BQ, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor site valuation and timely issue of payment certificates per contract.
• Oversee tender calling/awards per tender schedule and manage variation orders.
• Assist in budget monitoring reports and updating estimated final contract sums.
• Prepare cost analysis using latest market rates to cross-check tenders.
• Verify final accounts per contract requirements and negotiate final values for certification.
• Monitor contract completion dates and renew performance bonds and insurances.

Job description

To execute pre-contracts and post-contracts administration processes and assist in cost control of projects.

Liaise with consultants on the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BQ) in accordance with tender drawings and specification provided.

Ensure measurement are accurate and timely completed for BQ, variation orders and final accounts.

To check and monitor site valuation and timely issuance of payment certificates in accordance with contract’s requirement.

Monitor and ensure that tender calling and award are in accordance with tender schedule.

Monitor and ensure all variation orders (VOs) are prepared and approved accordingly including compilation of all necessary documents.

Assist in timely preparation of budget monitoring report including updating of estimated final contract sum.

Prepare cost analysis based on latest market rate for cross checking of contractor’s tender rate.

Check and verify final account are done accordingly based on contract’s requirement including conduct negotiation and recommending final values for certification by Architects / Engineers.

Monitor completion dates for all contracts including getting contractor to renew performance bond and insurances.

Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Minimum 4 years of working experience preferably with developer or consultant background.

Those who worked with consultancy firms is an added advantage.

Knowledge in measurement software i.e.: CostX.

Good and strong knowledge in pricing, estimating, cost plan analysis and familiar with current market price.

Possess good interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.

Able to work independently, efficiency to maintain high standards and accuracy.

Assertive, analytical, systematic andateamplayer.
