Job summary

Ditrolic Energy in Malaysia is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead large-scale solar PV projects from NTP to COD, coordinating EPC teams and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.

You will oversee schedules, cost control, risk management, and regulatory compliance with local authorities, ST, and TNB interconnection requirements, while driving zero-LTI safety performance and seamless handover of final documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Solar/Renewable/Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in utility-scale solar PV or power plant projects, preferably LSS >50MWp.
• Knowledge of large-scale PV systems, DC/AC, inverters, MV/HV, substations, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Experience managing EPCC contracts and familiarity with regulatory approvals (TNB, ST).
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for large-scale project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Large Scale Solar PV project from Notice to Proceed through commissioning, grid interconnection and COD.
• Develop and control the master schedule, resource plan, cost control, and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, grid interconnection and commissioning teams.
• Manage project contractual matters including risk assessment, variation orders, claims, delays and mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and approvals.
• Monitor progress against schedule milestones and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and drive zero-LTI safety performance.
• Oversee contractor performance, site supervision and timely resolution of technical issues.
• Manage project documentation, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover documents.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and manage the execution of the Large Scale Solar (LSS) PV project from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through commissioning, grid interconnection and Commercial Operation Date (COD), ensuring delivery within approved timeline, budget and quality standards.


• Develop and control the overall project master schedule, resource plan, cost control mechanism and cash flow projection in accordance with EPCC contractual obligations.


• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, grid interconnection and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works including MV/HV systems and substation interface.


• Manage project contractual matters including risk assessment, variation orders, claims, delay analysis and mitigation strategies.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements including local authority approvals, environmental requirements, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB interconnection requirements and other relevant authorities.


• Monitor project progress against baseline schedule; track key milestones including procurement delivery, site mobilization, installation progress, testing & commissioning and energization.


• Chair project progress meetings with client, consultants, contractors and stakeholders; prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.


• Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure all works comply with project specifications, contract requirements and industry standards.


• Ensure strict compliance with EHS&S policies and drive zero-LTI target throughout project execution.


• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, site supervision, cost control and timely resolution of technical and project related issues.


• Manage project documentation, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals and final handover documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Solar/Renewable/Electrical/Power Engineering or related field.


• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in utility‑scale solar PV or power plant projects, preferably LSS projects above 50MWp and 132kV transmission knowledge.


• Strong knowledge of large-scale PV systems, DC/AC systems, inverters, MV/HV systems, substations and grid interconnection requirements.


• Experience managing EPCC contracts and familiarity with TNB, ST and local authority approval processes.


• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision‑making capability.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills essential for large‑scale project coordination.


• Self‑motivated, result‑oriented and able to work under pressure to meet project milestones and COD targets.


• Willing to put in overtime when necessary to meet project datelines.


• Proficient in PVSyst/CAD/MS Office (Project/Word), PowerPoint and project management tools.


• Familiar with SCADA systems, fieldbus and industrial communication protocols including Modbus, TCP/IP etc.
