Job summary

The role requires understanding pre-contract and post-contract processes, cost estimation, and reading drawings. You will assist across the project lifecycle, liaising with site teams, preparing measurements, cost analyses, and progress claims, with

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; QS experience is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of pre-contract and post-contract processes, including taking-off, cost estimation, payment claims and VO.
• Able to read construction drawings and perform quantity measurement.
• Good coordination with site supervisors, main contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel for project meetings or site visits.

Responsibilities

• To assist throughout the entire project lifecycle, including Pre-Contract, Post-Contract and Final Accounts stages.
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement works.
• Prepare cost estimation and budget analysis.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit progress claims to the Main Contractor.
• Monitor monthly project progress and cost status.
• Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO).
• Monitor material usage and wastage control.
• Conduct quantity verification and site measurements.
• Liaise with Site Supervisors and Main Contractor to ensure timely delivery.
• Attend meetings and conduct site visits when required.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Management.

• Liaise with the Main Contractor on quantity and account-related matters.

Coordination & Support

• Liaise with Site Supervisors and Main Contractor to ensure projects are delivered according to timeline and contract requirements.
• Attend meetings and conduct site visits when required.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Management from time to time.
