Job summary

Universal Music Sdn.Bhd. is seeking a content strategist to develop and execute marketing content strategies. You will collaborate with the Domestic and Digital Marketing Team to create engaging content for platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Marketing with at least 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in the music or entertainment industry. Strong project management skills and a passion for pop culture are essential.

Qualifications

Role Summary

Develop and execute content strategies to meet marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

• Work hand in hand with Domestic and Digital Marketing Team on creating Domestic Spotify/YouTube playlists, ALL UMMY and Masyhur YouTube channel.
• Produce high-quality written, audio, and visual content that engages our audience.
• Manage the content calendar ensuring timely delivery of all content on social media platforms (UMMY, Def Jam Malaysia and Masyhur).
• Assist Domestic and Digital Marketing Team to execute CRM campaigns to grow artists’ fan base and audience engagement.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Optimize content for SEO and improve user engagement across platforms.
• Analyze content performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Compile and edit Domestic and Def Jam Malaysia newsletters on a monthly basis.
• Assist the team on release reporting deck, collecting data, articles, and insights.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging platforms to inform content creation.

Desired Traits
