Job summary

YUN Japanese Beauty in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Content Creator to manage and develop social media content for Instagram and Xiaohongshu. You will shoot and edit engaging videos and photos featuring treatments, products, promotions, and the brand, while building a consistent content calendar.

You should have at least 2 years in content creation or social media, be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, and fluent in Chinese and English with strong writing skills. Portfolio required.

YUN Japanese Beauty is a beauty salon specialising in Japanese-inspired beauty treatments and skincare. We are currently looking for a Content Creator / Content Marketing team member to manage and develop our social media content, mainly for Instagram and Xiaohongshu.

Key responsibilities

• Plan & Execute: Plan and manage monthly social media content for Instagram and Xiaohongshu.
• Create Content: Shoot and edit engaging videos, photos and Stories featuring our treatments, products, promotions and brand.
• Develop Ideas: Come up with creative content ideas that align with the brand image and target audience.
• Research & Adapt: Stay updated on social media trends and adapt relevant trends into content that fits our brand.
• Manage Content: Organise and maintain a consistent content schedule across social media platforms.
• Analyse Performance: Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns, support promotional activities, and assist with other marketing-related ad hoc tasks as required.

About you

• Editing Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or other professional photo and video editing software.
• Language Skills: Good command of both Chinese and English, with strong writing and communication skills in both languages.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in content creation, social media or a related field.
• Creative & Trend-Aware: Strong sense of creativity, aesthetics and awareness of current social media trends.
• Social Media Knowledge: Familiar with Instagram and Xiaohongshu. Experience with other social media platforms is an added advantage.
• Portfolio: Candidates are required to provide a portfolio or examples of previous content work.
