Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a proactive civil scheduling engineer to lead CPM baselines for industrial infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will build WBS-based schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project, manage changes, and produce look-ahead plans for weekly planning meetings.

Strong knowledge of CPM, float management, and earned value is required. Applicants should have 3–4 years of hands-on scheduling experience, familiarity with CSA/M&E interfaces, and the ability to coordinate between site teams

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of hands-on scheduling experience in industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction.
• Demonstrated experience building and owning CPM schedules across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience with CSA and M&E works is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 as the core scheduling tool.
• Competent in MS Project as a secondary tool.
• Able to construct WBS, logic ties, milestones, history of S-curves from scratch.
• Familiar with CPM critical path methodology, float management, and earned value concepts.
• Understanding of delay analysis techniques (TIA, windows analysis, as-planned vs. as-built).
• Knowledge of EOT processes and claims documentation in construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop the construction method statement covering sequencing, phasing, access, logistics, lifting, and CSA/M&E interfaces.
• Build the CPM baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or MS Project with logic ties and milestones.
• Present and obtain sign-off on the baseline programme before construction mobilises.
• Manage all changes to the baseline through a revision and approval process.
• Publish 2-week and 4-week look-ahead plans weekly for planning meetings.
• Collect actual progress data from project engineers and subcontractors at updates.
• Recalculate float and critical path after every update and flag variances.
• Load labour, plant, equipment, and materials into the schedule and generate histograms.
• Produce and update S-curves at key milestones for reporting.
• Maintain an interface register linking the programme to procurement, drawings, and subcontracts.
