Job summary

Citic Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee site progress, scheduling, and coordination with clients, consultants, and subcontractors in Johor Bahru. Fluency in Mandarin is mandatory due to stakeholder interactions.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least two years of project management or construction management experience, with strong leadership, analytical, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in Project Management, Construction Management, particularly in building works, or other related fields.
• Be proficient in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. Fluency in Mandarin is a MUST, as the role involves dealing with Chinese stakeholders.
• Have a strong analytical mindset and excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Be willing and able to be based in Johor Bahru. Accommodation will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site progress and assist in schedule tracking and reporting, ensuring day-to-day operations align with established project plans and timelines.
• Execute day-to-day construction operations and coordinate intermediate phases in accordance with established schedules to ensure milestone deadlines are met.
• Monitor on-site activities, track routine variations, and promptly report any schedule deviations or adjustments to the management team.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to plan site works, coordinate and communicate with Clients, Consultants, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers.
• Communicate and coordinate with project team members or external parties for project related issues and problem solving.
• Stakeholders management - Ability to manage challenges internally and externally.
• Manage risk and provide solutions to management and stakeholder for decision making.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
