Job summary

Sunray Construction & Interior Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Executive in Malaysia to manage supplier quotes, purchase orders and delivery timelines across site projects.

You will collaborate with site teams, QS and finance, ensuring accurate invoicing, cost control and timely materials procurement in a fast-paced construction environment. This role requires a diploma or degree in procurement or related field and at least two years in the construction industry.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement/ Logistics/ Business Admin or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in Construction industry.
• Positive minded and willing to learn; flexible and adaptable to work setting and systems.
• Strong communication and able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent organisation skills and attention details in managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Updates on sub-contractors’ claims status and related debit notes and penalties.
• Prepares debit notes on back-charges and/or penalties; follows up against sub‑contractors’ claims.
• Identifies discrepancies between records of sub-contractor work and claims.
• Verifies payment certifications issued to sub-contractors align with interim payment recommendations.
• Reconciles sub-contractors’ invoices against payment certification issued.
• Prepares quarterly accrual listings for work by sub-contractors not yet billed.
• Coordinates with external suppliers on price and quantity for materials.
• Reconciles delivery orders against approved purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Liaises with suppliers to rectify discrepancies and disputes.
• Liaises with QS on discrepancies in certification amounts.
• Liaises with finance when site work schedule requires urgent payment.
• Processes material requisitions from project sites into approved Purchase Orders.
• Negotiates with suppliers for best pricing and delivery status.
• Liaises with site personnel regarding delivery status of material requisitions.
• Supports project teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
