Job summary

GT-Max Construction in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to research suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure on-time delivery of materials. You will coordinate with the Site Team and QS, issue POs, and maintain comprehensive purchasing records.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in Business or SCM with 1–2 years of procurement experience; construction industry exposure is a plus. Strong Excel/Word/SQL skills, negotiation and communication abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
• Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word & SQL.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with Site Team and Contract Team (QS) to process purchase requests and issue POs.
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and supplier data.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews to ensure quality and service standards.
• Monitor inventory, track stock movements, and manage timely reordering.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and ethics.
• Submit invoices and delivery orders to Finance for processing.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by management.
