Job summary

YTL Construction in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking a Planner to oversee overall planning and monitoring of assigned projects. You will develop strategic project plans, ensuring adherence to specifications, budget goals and timelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining detailed programmes, integrating subcontractors' schedules, monitoring critical activities, and preparing weekly/monthly reports while ensuring compliance with safety and local authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of infrastructure or building construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience as Planner specialising in construction planning and management.
• Good knowledge of design, construction and building systems.
• Well versed in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or relevant planning software.
• Well versed in BIM modeller or relevant software in regards to building and infrastructure design is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed programme and programme narrative to ensure compliance with safety, schedule, cost and quality standards on sites.
• Support integration of subcontractors’ and suppliers’ programmes into the master schedule.
• Monitor schedules and critical activities; provide early warnings to the team.
• Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable forecast with project teams.
• Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from key players.
• Participate in project coordination and client meetings to communicate plans and changes.
• Record delay events and any changes; produce weekly and monthly reports.
• Record site activity performance including resources deployment and production rate.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental guidelines and local authority requirements.
