Job summary

Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the floating solar PV project, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. You will oversee civil, structural, marine, mechanical, electrical, transmission, solar PV and BESS works to deliver safely, on schedule and within budget.

You will coordinate EPCC contractors, supervise interfaces, drive planning, monitor progress, ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance, and lead inspections, testing and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (P.Eng) is preferred.
• CIDB registration and valid safety induction / Green Card.

• Lead and manage all construction activities across civil, structural, marine, mechanical, electrical, transmission, solar PV, BESS and balance-of-plant works.

• Lead inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, mechanical completion and handover activities.
• Provide strong leadership and stakeholder management with clients, regulators and communities.

Construction Manager – Floating Solar PV Project
(largest floating solar photovoltaic development in Southeast Asia)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all construction activities across civil, structural, marine, mechanical, electrical, transmission, solar PV, BESS and balance-of-plant works to ensure safe, timely and successful project delivery.

Coordinate and supervise EPCC contractors, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring construction works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and industry standards.

Drive construction planning, sequencing and interface management across multiple work fronts to achieve project milestones, schedule commitments and commercial objectives.

Monitor and control project performance, including construction progress, productivity, resource utilization, look-ahead planning, forecasting, progress reporting and recovery actions to mitigate delays.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements, including QA/QC standards, ITPs, IFC drawings, permit-to-work systems, environmental controls and statutory obligations.

Collaborate with engineering, planning, commissioning, HSE, consultants and authorities to resolve technical, construction and operational challenges and support efficient project execution.

Lead inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, mechanical completion and handover activities, ensuring timely closure of NCRs, punch-list items and technical deficiencies for operational readiness.

Provide strong leadership and stakeholder management, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement while managing relationships with clients, consultants, utilities, regulators and local communities.

Qualification / Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (P.Eng) is preferred.

Years of Experience:
Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a construction manager LSS, preferably in utility-scale energy, solar energy projects.

Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Others:

CIDB registration and valid safety induction / Green Card.

Experience in floating solar, dam, marine works, BESS, HV systems or utility-scale solar projects will be an added advantage.
