POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the entire floating solar installation project across all 3 launching decks, ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to engineering specifications. The role requires strong experience in utility-scale solar construction, manpower coordination, planning control, subcontractor management, and client coordination.
Job Requirement
- Obtained at least Bachelor’s Degree in: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering or Project Management.
- Minimum 8–10 years in construction/project management.
- Minimum 3 years in utility-scale solar projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, construction sequencing, electrical infrastructure, mechanical installation.
- Familiar with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, progress tracking systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work in remote project locations.
- Familiar with Malaysian HSE regulations.
- CIDB Green Card preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead all project execution activities for all 5 installation processes.
- Manage overall project schedule, progress, budget, and manpower.
- Coordinate daily operations between engineering, logistics, safety, and marine teams.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications and approved drawings.
- Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Monitor overall project master schedule.
- Review daily and weekly production targets.
- Track sub-island assembly and launch progress.
- Identify critical delays and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate progress reporting to management and client.
- Technical & Construction Management
- Ensure installation complies with Mibet floater requirements, Huawei inverter installation standards, floating solar engineering practices.
- Coordinate engineering decisions during execution.
- Resolve technical conflicts between teams.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as primary liaison with client representatives.
- Attend coordination meetings with main contractor and marine contractors.
- Manage approval submissions and inspections.
- Coordinate island handovers and completion certification.
- Safety & Quality Oversight
- Ensure strict HSE implementation across all decks.
- Enforce quality standards for floater assembly, module installation, electrical terminations, launching operations.
- Review incident investigations and corrective actions.
