Job summary

NRC Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Engineer in Malaysia to lead major civil projects. You will confer with clients and team to determine requirements and plan construction activities, including piping, structural steel fabrication, and electrical & instrument installation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of construction experience, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any engineering field (mechanical, electrical, etc).
At least 5 years of construction-related experience in buildings, piping, structural steel, electrical and instrument.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
Knowledge of civil and mechanical designs and HSE procedures.

Responsibilities

Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and determine project requirements.
Plan and manage construction of major civil projects such as buildings, piping works, structural steel fabrications, Electrical and Instrument installation
Manage subcontractors at site
Develop construction specifications, method statement and procedures
Evaluate and recommend appropriate piping, building and construction materials.
Interpret, review and approve site fabrication drawings
Ensure construction plans meet guidelines, specifications and design
Establish, monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules.
Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects.
Review variation order and provide justification for approval
