Job summary

NRC Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Engineer in Malaysia to lead major civil projects. You will confer with clients and team to determine requirements and plan construction activities, including piping, structural steel fabrication, and electrical & instrument installation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of construction experience, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any engineering field (mechanical, electrical, etc).
• At least 5 years of construction-related experience in buildings, piping, structural steel, electrical and instrument.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Knowledge of civil and mechanical designs and HSE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and determine project requirements.

• Manage subcontractors at site
• Develop construction specifications, method statement and procedures
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate piping, building and construction materials.

• Establish, monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules.
• Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects.
• Review variation order and provide justification for approval
