Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Contract Executive to oversee contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects. The role includes contract administration, tendering, claims, and final accounts, with emphasis on cost control and compliance with PAM CIDB standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, with 2–5 years of relevant experience and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in contract administration within building construction projects.
• Experience working with a main contractor is preferred.
• Familiar with PAM Contract, CIDB requirements, and construction contract management.
• Knowledge of variation orders, progress claims, cost control, and final accounts.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and administer construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
• Manage tendering processes, including calling quotations, evaluating bids, and preparing recommendation reports.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier claims.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Assist in contract negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Track project progress and identify potential contractual risks.
• Maintain proper contract documentation and records.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients on contractual matters.
• Support dispute resolution and contractual correspondence when required.
