January Capital in Kuala Lumpur seeks an operations-focused professional to run the engine room of our legal and compliance function. You design systems and ensure AML/KYC, governance, and filings run like clockwork, bringing adaptability, curiosity, and a get-it-done mindset to the team.

You will lead fund onboarding, coordinate licensing and reporting, maintain the firm’s source-of-truth records, and support investment transactions with precise document control and audit trails.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Finance, or Business.
• 3–5 years in Asset Management, Law, Compliance, or Start-up Operations.
• Meticulous, autonomous, and results-driven with high standards.
• Structured, detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with digital platforms for process automation and workflow design.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder management and coordinate end-to-end investor onboarding processes, ensuring AML/KYC execution.
• Coordinate licensing and reporting requirements for MAS and ASIC.
• Design, implement, and streamline workflows for fund launches, onboarding, and investments.
• Maintain governance records and filings with corporate secretarial providers.
• Custodian of portfolio company records and post-investment governance documents.
• Facilitate end-to-end administrative execution of investment activities and document management.
