Job summary

TKR Engineering Sdn Bhd in Miri, Sarawak seeks a Completion Engineer to oversee planning, design, execution, and optimization of well completion operations. You will prepare technical programs, perform analyses, and support offshore supervisors while ensuring adherence to standards and client specs.

Travel to project sites is expected. A Bachelor's in a relevant field and 5+ years of completion experience are required, with IWCF 4+ preferred; English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum, mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in completion engineering, offshore support, and contractor coordination.
• IWCF Level 4 preferred and safety certifications (BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, H2S).
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficient (written and spoken).
• Proficient in completion design software, pressure analysis, tubing design and SAP/Excel/Power BI.

Job description

The Completion Engineer supports the planning, engineering design, execution, monitoring, and optimization of well completion operations. The role prepares technical programs, performs engineering analyses, supports offshore completion supervisors, and ensures completion activities comply with company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Support

• Support offshore completion operations.
• Review daily completion reports.
• Track completion KPIs.
• Monitor contractor performance.
• Assist with troubleshooting.

Documentation

• Completion reports.
• Technical specifications.
• Well files.
• Engineering calculations.

3) Authorities

• Recommend engineering changes.
• Request technical data.
• Review contractor documentation.
• Recommend operational improvements.

4) Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in completion engineering, Offshore completion support, Engineering calculations, Contractor coordination. Preferred in Intelligent completions and HPHT wells.

Certifications: IWCF Level 4 (preferred), BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, H2S Safety, Offshore Medical Certificate, Permit to Work, Risk Assessment.

Language: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Technical Skills: Completion Design Software, Well Plan, Pressure Analysis, Tubing Design, SAP, Excel, Power BI

The role requires competence in Completion Engineering, Well Integrity, Pressure Control, Completion Fluids, Tubing Design, Sand Control, Engineering Calculations, Technical Reporting.
