Job summary

Nan Fang Plastic Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated environmental specialist to manage and operate the wastewater treatment plant and related processes in Selangor. You will ensure final discharge meets DOE standards, coordinate with authorities, and perform regular sampling and reporting.

The role requires CePSWaM/CePIETSO-PCP/CePSO certificates, a relevant bachelor's degree, and the ability to work independently with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental field or related discipline.
• High motivation, responsible, and ability to work independently.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office.
• Certified Environmental Professional certificates (CePSWaM, CePIETSO-PCP, CePSO) are required.

Responsibilities

• To manage and operate wastewater treatment plant and industrial effluents.
• To monitor final discharge water to meet DOE standards.
• To liaise with DOE for licensing, compliance and updates.
• Perform periodic sampling and testing water and air emission.
• Prepare monthly performance monitoring reports as required by DOE.
• Daily inspections of wastewater treatment plant, equipment and environment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and ensure equipment is well maintained.
• Ensure scrubber plant operation adheres to defined standards.
• Maintain proper documentation in line with ISO and record-keeping requirements.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• To manage and operate waste water treatment plant/ industrial effluence and air emission.
• To monitor waste water treatment plant final discharge water meet DOE standard requirement.
• To liaise with DOE for licensing, compliance issue and all the new requirement update.
• Perform periodic sampling and testing water and air emission
• Prepare monthly performance monitoring report as DOE required.
• Daily conduct inspection for all the waste water treatment plant, equipment and environment.
• Prepare maintenance report and ensure that all the equipment maintained in good order.
• To ensure the Scrubber plant operation within the standard defined
• To ensure all documents are done and kept properly in compliance with ISO and to keep track of all records (Checklists, commissioning reports, and etc.)
• Any other duties which may assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Competent person for CePSWaM Certificate (Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management), registered with the Department of the Environment.
• Competent person for CePIETSO-PCP Certificate (Certified Environmental Professional In The Operation Of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems - Physical Chemical Processes)
• Competent person for CePSO Certificate (Certified Environmental Professional In Scrubber Operation)
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree Environmental or equivalent Degree in related field.
• High motivated, responsible and able to work independently.
• Computer literate and familiar with MS Office Application Software.
• Must possess own transport for travel to various locations as required.
