Job summary

AJ SPEECH & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CARE CENTRE in Melaka Tengah, Melaka, is seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to provide services to patients of all ages, addressing communication and swallowing difficulties and improving quality of life.

You will assess, plan, and deliver therapy, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Recognition in Speech-Language Pathology or Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration/licensure as required by Malaysian regulatory bodies.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and assessment procedures.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; additional languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing abilities.
• Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessments and goals.
• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions across ages.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document clinical records in accordance with regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercises.
• Engage in professional development and evidence-based practice.
